On the mend!

Thank goodness, so far today we are feeling much better. Tess kept all down and was in such better spirits! I am so grateful it was not worse. Thank you for everyone's prayers in hoping she got better soon! It sure did last longer than we thought. She sadly had another bout last night.. only once, but it was after dinner and ewwweee!
Here is a fun pic from our weekend at Irvine Park with the Ponies. We had a pic posted but I think Daddy erased it by accident. She loved it and we hope to go again soon! Anyone want to join us???

I hate the Flu!

Poor Tess -

Yes, its Monday morning and she still has it. She woke up from her nap on Sunday with a low grade fever, but ate really good. She kept her dinner down. We think about 11:00 pm she broke the fever, but had another spell of barf. Not fun at all. She finally went down to bed about 1:30am and slept through the night. Although, we jumped at every little cough....hoping nothing was coming up.

I left for work this morning and the girls were still sleeping. I hope mommy has an ok day with daddy gone. Although, I think I add to the work....its like having two kids in the house.

I am going to add a one of my favorite pictures from early Tess (3 1/2 months) - Love it!

Love Daddy!

12 Hour Bug and curdled milk...

So, we posted last night at 9:30....and by 1:00 am we were woken by the sound of a baby throwing up! It's so sad to see and hear a little one do this and not understand why its happening. By 2:00 we had been in the shower, washed 3 different pj's, and both mommy and daddy had been barfed on. Such fun! By 3:00 We were on to feeling a little better, but would get sick about every 30 min. and had nothing else to spit up. So, we are now on to dry heaves. By 4:00 mommy and daddy stayed in the room with Tess and laid with her, sat with her, sang to her, and tried to comfort. She finally slept from 6:00 - 9:00, but again, woke up to a dry heave. It is now 1:00 pm and Tess has held down some water, 1.5 saltine crackers, and some noddles from the soup mommy made. We will keep our fingers crossed. The nurse just called after we called them at 9:00 am this morning. A nice 4 hours later, but grateful she called at all.

She still has quite the personality through this whole thing. While watching the Polar Express (she has a thing for trains...) she picked up her barf bowl and was pretending to spit up in it...making noises and jerking her head and laughing. Then threw the bowl across the room. Such a lady...

So, on to a nap for mommy and daddy. We love our little one, even when she smells like curdled milk.

Long Overdue!

I am so sorry I lapsed on blogging. It feels like two days have passed when really two months have passed. Lots has happened... mostly Tess speaking tons of words now. Just today she said giraffe, good girl, Pops, Thank you, and more that I can't even think of right now.

Also mom broke her wrist and has been out of commission since a week before Christmas so I took on a few more holiday tasks than normal. Then we all got sick and have had it lingering even up to today. We traveled to Long Beach Aquarium again, Sea World, Santa Ana Zoo, and today Irvine Park to ride the famous train and ponies. We had a wonderful time with Daddy being home for Christmas break.
I did have a total Jessica Simpson moment the other day. I was reading the nutrition facts on dehydrated apricots when I noticed it said a Product of Turkey. I turned to Stef and said what the hell does that mean a Turkey pooped out an apricot... and then as soon as the last word came out I started laughing at myself understanding that it was made in Turkey. What a dork!

Tess is still in swim lessons and loving every minute when she has her normal teacher. Over the holiday we had a sub who was a snotty nosed, 20 year old, insensitive teacher. She basically made Tess cry through her lessons. Thank goodness her normal teacher came back and it only took her two lessons to get back into the swim of things.

The crazy pic of Tess above on the lit Nativity scene is from our neighbors yard. She insisted on visiting them everyday even better when they were lit up.

Tess loves her kitties! Her favorite thing right now is picking up Hershey. Hershey however does not always love all the love. Tess doesn't always pick her up properly so Hershey crys..... She also loves Great Grammy Betty's kitty Lucy. She is still a kitten and I think thinks Tess is a toy. Tess cracks up at her...!!!

She is an absolute doll. Of course we leave out the stories of her climbing EVERYTHING! She will climb up a chair, the ladder up to the big slide that is way over our heads (really its high...over 6 ft) and today she climbed up the fence to see the train. She will learn, but as Daddy sees it, she is building strength to beat up those boys....she will run circles around them!

Happy New Year! Love Stefan, Mary, and Tess
